Twenty Nine or 29 card game is a South Asian trick-taking game where the Jack and the Nine are the highest cards in every suit, believed to have origins in the European Jass games from the Netherlands, likely introduced to the Indian subcontinent by Dutch traders.

29 is a strategic card game with the objective of being the first team to reach 6 points. It is commonly played by four players in fixed partnerships facing each other, using 32 cards from a standard 52-card pack with eight cards in each French suit. The cards rank in each suit from high to low: J-9-A-10-K-Q-8-7.

Players bid and set targets for themselves, with the highest bidder choosing the trump suit. The game proceeds counter-clockwise, with tricks won and scores calculated based on the card values: Jacks (3 points), Nines (2 points), Aces and Tens (1 point each), while Kings, Queens, Eights, and Sevens hold no point value.
